Rocio del Mar is a 110’ long and 25′ beam vessel equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and all required safety equipment. She has ten 2-person air- conditioned cabins with private bathroom, an indoor salon, spacious dinning area, an outside sun bathing are and covered deck to relax between dives equiped with external showers and bathroom. Rocio has two 18′ Achilles inflatable boats.
The dining area is in the lower forward part of the boat to minimize any movement sensation during meals. We will carefully select anchorages to minimize any wave action on the 200 ton stiff steel vessel while anchored for the night. Oversize engines designed to operate at low working loads with high efficiency, producing less engine noise and vibration at normal cruising speed. Deep V hull design and wave breaking bow knuckle to minimize surface wave action against the hull as the Rocio Del Mar moves forward through the sea.
Rocio del Mar is of the utmost seaworthiness and approved by both the US Coast Guard and the Mexican Coast Guard. The dive deck is large and well organized with storage space and a spacious camera table. There is a dive platform for ease of boarding the inflatables with two outdoor showers and a restroom located next to the dive deck.
The galley is in the bow of the boat and comfortably accommodates all 20 guests. The galley also has a television and DVD player should the group want to do presentations. The salon is comfortable with full-sized sofas, a TV, and a computer station. There is an outside covered deck with comfortable patio furniture and a shaded sundeck with lawn chairs perfect for relaxing between dives.
There are six cabins with two over-sized twin bunks (rooms 1- 6), two cabins with a full bed and a twin bunk (rooms 9 & 10 on the upper deck), and two cabins with a queen bed each (rooms 7 & 8). Each cabin has four drawers for storage. All have private bathrooms with hot shower stalls, western style toilets, lavatories, and above height window. Each cabin is carpeted and air conditioned. There are room length windows with privacy curtains and convenient gear and clothes storage drawers beneath the beds. We recommend any private valuables be safely stored in the boat’s secure vault.
Our guests enjoy comfortable mattresses and quality bed linens. Our steward cleans all rooms, bunks, and bathrooms during the first dives of the day. We provide bath towels and dive deck towels, and these are changed mid-trip. All voltage aboard the Rocio Del Mar is 110, just like the USA.
